About Alex

Alex is a British composer for Film and Television who is currently living in New York City.

His music has been featured at famous high profile festivals worldwide including the Venice Film Festival, South By SouthWest, Palm Springs International Film Festival, Outfest LA, Marthas Vineyard African American Film Festival and many more. Online streaming networks such as Netflix, Dust and Zenith and cable TV networks such as ABC. Branded films have millions of views cumulatively on Vimeo, Youtube, Facebook. Publications featuring articles and reviews of Alex’s work include The Hollywood Reporter, The Guardian, The Economist and Variety.

Educated at three of the worlds top music institutions and mentored by some of the most famous composers in the industry, his extensive capabilities ranges from live full orchestral scores to intimate, solo recorded instruments embedded with synths & samples creating powerful hybrid scores.

His history began in classical contemporary music with over eight orchestral performances with multiple orchestras. After discovering the underground electronic scene of New York, his sound today frequently combines both elements of classical and electronic.

As an electronic producer, he makes music with a number of friends in New York with releases on Lndkhn & Nonclassical with more in the works.

Alex has a fully equipped personal studio in Brooklyn, NYC with an eclectic range of synthesisers, effects processors and recording capabilities.

Alex writes music for feature films, short films, television and advertising. A recent 2019 short film of his, “Wonder” has qualified for Academy Award submission.
